K Sudhakaran’s gaffe over KG George’s condolence message embarrasses Congress; expresses regret

Kozhikode: Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) president K Sudhakaran's response to the death of director KG George has gone viral on social media, with many mocking the leader for the gaffe.
When asked to respond to George's death, Sudhakaran said, "He was a good public worker and political leader."
Sudhakaran later expressed regret in his response. He wrote that he thought the deceased person was a former colleague of the same name. “It was my mistake that I did not ask who they were mentioning,” he wrote on Facebook. He added that KG George was a "unique artist" who had revolutionised Malayalam cinema concepts.
