K Muraleedharan slams Congress for repeatedly ignoring him

Karipur: Vadakara MP K Muraleedharan expressed disappointment over Congress for ignoring him during a party event as part of the centenary celebrations of Vaikom Satyagraha.
Vadakara MP complained to the Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) for not inviting him to speak at the centenary celebrations of Vaikom Satyagraha organised by the party here on Thursday.
"The event was attended by three former KPCC presidents, including Ramesh Chennithala and MM Hassan. Both received the opportunity to speak at the event. However, I was not given a chance to speak. The supplement issued by a party-backed newspaper also omitted my name. This was an intentional move," he said. The former KPCC president added that he would consider leaving the party if Congress does not require his services anymore.
After Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge inaugurated the event, only KPCC president K Sudhakaran, opposition leader of the Kerala Assembly VD Satheesan, former KPCC chief Ramesh Chennithala and UDF convenor MM Hassan spoke at the event representing KPCC.
Muraleedharan feels that the state leadership intentionally avoided him. He was given a chair in the front row. He expressed his dissatisfaction to Sudhakaran at the event itself. He also conveyed the matter to Venugopal.
The complaint also mentioned that Shashi Tharoor was not allowed to speak.
