Journalist Shajan Skariah allegedly assaulted in Thodupuzha; hospitalised

Thodupuzha (Kerala): Shajan Skariah, owner of the online news channel Marunadan Malayali, was allegedly assaulted in Idukki on Saturday.

According to police, a group of unidentified men followed his vehicle and attacked him while he was returning from a wedding function.

Skariah, who sustained minor injuries, was admitted to the district hospital. Police said his injuries are not serious and that a case will be registered after recording his detailed statement.
