Mohanlal has extended his support to 'Operation Toofan', the Kerala Police initiative against drug abuse. Along with a video posted on social media, he wrote that we can all become partners in "Operation Toofan - The Narco Hunt," which aims to uproot the drug mafia. He also announced that he is joining Kerala's major battle as a "Toofan Warrior".

The video shared by Mohanlal features footage of his meeting with Home Minister Ramesh Chennithala. Mohanlal told Ramesh Chennithala that this fight against drugs is something he has desired for years. He stated that such actions must be sustained and expressed his gratitude for launching such an initiative, noting that it could save numerous families and students. He added that he hopes this project turns into a "Toofan" (storm).
 

 
 

Mohanlal handed over the details of the 'Be A Hero, Say No To Drugs' project by the Viswasanthi Foundation to the Home Minister. He conveyed his readiness to cooperate with the Kerala Police in any capacity.

Ramesh Chennithala responded that this is not just a flash in the pan. He added that 'Operation Toofan' has the participation of everyone, transcending political differences. Ramesh Chennithala presented Mohanlal with a badge that read "I am a Toofan Warrior". North Zone IG Putta Vimaladitya was also present with Ramesh Chennithala.
