A Jayathilak to be new Kerala chief secretary; Sarada Muraleedharan to retire on April 30

Thiruvananthapuram: Senior civil service officer A Jayathilak will be the next Chief Secretary of Kerala. The decision was made in the Cabinet meeting held on Wednesday.
The current Chief Secretary, Sarada Muraleedharan, will retire on April 30. Jayathilak, a 1991 batch IAS officer, is currently serving as the Additional Chief Secretary in the Finance Department.
Sarada Muraleedharan, a 1990 batch officer, took over as chief secretary following the retirement of batchmate and husband V Venu last August.
