Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has launched a scathing attack against the central government, expressing concern over the deteriorating state of affairs. He said that due to the current situation “countries around the world are perplexed and are now questioning our credibility as a democracy.”

The veteran communist leader was addressing a gathering at Neyyattinkara as part of the LS polls campaign.

“A majority of the people in our country are now living in fear. Things have changed a lot from how it was in the past. Our nation is now hanging its head in shame in front of the world community,” said Pinarayi.

“The secular fabric is under serious threat. India’s stance on various issues have invited heavy criticisms from organisations such as the United Nations, Amnesty International, and also from the United States and Western Countries,” the Kerala CM reminded the people.

Pinarayi stressed on the importance of bringing down BJP from power in these challenging times. He called for a united fight against the religious fascists.
