Man steals KSRTC bus from Aluva depot disguising as mechanic | See Video

Kochi: A KSRTC bus was stolen from the Aluva depot on Thursday morning. Within hours of the theft, police found the vehicle near Kaloor in Ernakulam.  

North police nabbed the accused who took away the bus from the depot. According to the preliminary inquest, the accused is suffering from mental disorder.  

The accused who arrived at the depot wearing an outfit of a mechanic left with the bus by 8 am on Thursday. It has been reported that the bus collided with many other vehicles while he drove it from Aluva to Ernakulam. 

A security officer who felt suspicious on seeing the overspeeding bus informed the depot. The bus was recovered near Kaloor after a probe was conducted. The fast passenger bus was scheduled to conduct service to Kozhikode at noon on Thursday.
