Idukki woman suffering from COVID-19 dies of cardiac arrest

Kochi: An Idukki native woman, who was suffering from COVID-19 died of a cardiac arrest at a private hospital in Ernakulam on Sunday morning. The deceased was identified as Valsa (59) from NR City in Rajakkad.

Valsa was diagnosed with COVID in a test performed ahead of a heart surgery. Following this, the surgery was conducted on Saturday.

The lady was on ventilator support after the surgery. She was admitted to the hospital due to chest pain on Friday night.
