Male friend charged with rape, abduction in IB officer Megha's death

Thiruvananthapuram: In the death of Intelligence Bureau (IB) officer Megha Madhusudhanan in Kerala, her friend Sukanth has been named as a key accused. He now faces charges of rape and abduction in connection with the case, which is being investigated by the Thiruvananthapuram Petta police.
The police had earlier found her case to be an unnatural death. But now, the investigation has taken a turn with the latest findings.
According to police reports, an arrest is expected soon. Megha's family had raised suspicions about Sukanth, particularly due to financial discrepancies. Later, relatives of the deceased provided evidence that corroborated claims of sexual assault by Sukanth.
The police haven't been able to locate Sukanth yet. His house at Malappuram was found abandoned when police visisted the place earlier for investigation.
The death of Megha Madhusudhanan, an Intelligence Bureau (IB) officer, had raised several questions, prompting her family to demand a thorough investigation. Megha, who was working at the Thiruvananthapuram airport, was hit by a train on Monday morning near the Pettah railway overbridge in Thiruvananthapuram.
