Three hotel workers killed in bike accident in Thiruvananthapuram

Thiruvananthapuram: Three people died in a bike accident in Karamana, Thiruvananthapuram early on Saturday. The victims, Pranav and Sajin, both from Neyyattinkara, and Rithik, an inter-state worker, were returning home after work when the incident occurred around 1:30 am.

All three, who were employed at a local hotel, were travelling on the same bike. According to police, the accident took place when the bike hit a footpath, causing the rider to lose control. Eyewitnesses reported that the out-of-control bike then collided with several parked motorcycles nearby.

None of the victims were wearing helmets at the time of the accident. Police are investigating the incident but suspect that loss of control after hitting the footpath was the primary cause.
