Guruvayur-Ernakulam passenger train to resume soon, says Suresh Gopi

Guruvayur: Union Minister Suresh Gopi has announced that the Guruvayur–Ernakulam passenger train, which was suspended prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, will soon be reinstated.
He stated that a letter has already been submitted to the Divisional Railway Manager regarding the matter. The announcement was made during a ‘kalunk’ (community) dialogue event held in Guruvayur. In addition to the passenger service, he also mentioned that a shuttle service up to Thrissur would be introduced.
During the discussion, the issue of a northern railway route from Guruvayur was raised. Suresh Gopi confirmed that efforts are underway in that direction, and emphasised his commitment by stating that he is not someone who makes empty promises.
He criticised the local MLA and the municipal chairman for claiming that he, as the MP, had no role in the development of the Guruvayur overbridge.
However, he said that after engaging with senior railway officials, the truth became evident to them. He accused local leaders of engaging in dirty political games and stressed the importance of speaking directly and honestly.
“I’ve come to face them openly—right to their faces. Are they ready to face me?” Suresh Gopi challenged.
The actor had recently come under fire for mocking an elderly woman at a similar event in Thrissur’s Porathissery.
