Bridegroom takes own life on wedding day in Malappuram

Kondotty (Malappuram): In an appalling incident, a bridegroom was found dead on his wedding day at Karipur here on Wednesday. 

The deceased has been identified as Jibin (30), a native of Kumminiparam at Karipur here. At 7.30 am on Wednesday, Jibin was found in the washroom with a severed wrist.

Jibin's marriage was fixed with a woman from Mancheri. Jibin did not open the door even hours after entering the washroom for morning shower. Later, he was found dead in a pool of blood when relatives checked on him. He was immediately taken to a private hospital in Kondotty. However, the young man could not be saved.

Jibin was employed in Dubai. It has been only four days since he came home. Police have started an investigation into the incident.
