New Delhi: A reshuffle in the positions of governors in various states and Union Territories is likely to happen. Reports suggest that a reorganization may occur in states of Kerala and Uttar Pradesh, where the governors have completed three to five years in office.

Arif Mohammed Khan has completed five years as Governor of Kerala. There are indications that he may be replaced, and could either be assigned a new governorship or another role. Currently, Lieutenant General Devendra Kumar Joshi, the Lieutenant Governor of Andaman and Nicobar Islands, is speculated to be given charge of Kerala or Jammu and Kashmir. Joshi is also a former Chief of the Navy.

In Jammu and Kashmir, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha has been in office for more than four years. It is rumoured that Ram Madhav, the former National Secretary of the BJP, may take over the post in Jammu and Kashmir.

Anandiben Patel has been serving as the Governor of Uttar Pradesh for more than five years. Goa Governor PS Sreedharan Pillai, Haryana Governor Bandaru Dattatreya, and Tamil Nadu Governor RN Ravi have each been in their respective posts for three years, and changes are likely in these positions as well.

The reshuffle is expected to happen after the formation of new governments in Jammu and Kashmir and Haryana or after the assembly elections in Maharashtra and Jharkhand, according to reports from national media citing official sources.
