From Onam kits to maternity care: Kudumbashree’s Pocket Mart set for statewide rollout

Thrissur: Kudumbashree will use 'Pocket Mart' to deliver products, food, and services online to consumers' homes. It is being implemented in collaboration with a delivery agency called ShipRocket. It will be operational by the end of August. With this, people will be able to order Kudumbashree products from anywhere in the state.
The online platform will be used to increase the marketing potential of women entrepreneurs' products.
Various services will also reach the needy through the app. The services of K4Care volunteers, who provide care for the weak and needy, will also be available through Quick Serve. You can also seek help for tasks ranging from kitchen work to maternity care. Snehitha counselling, including gender services, e-seva centres, construction units, and event management, will also be available.
The first online market is being prepared in the form of 5,000 Onam gift packets. This includes eight items such as chips, jaggery chips, and payasam mix. The distribution responsibility is being handled by the Kudumbashree Kannur Consortium and the Thrissur Kudumbashree Bazaar.
