Fr. Shaiju Kurien, 47 others join BJP

Pathanamthitta: Fr. Shaiju Kurien, Secretary of the Orthodox Church Nilakkal Diocese, recently joined the BJP. Union Minister V Muraleedharan warmly welcomed Kurian into the party during the NDA's Christmas Sneha Sangam. Notably, 47 individuals from the Catholic Church also joined the BJP.

During the ceremony, influential figures such as Kuriakose Mar Clemis Metropolitan from the Orthodox Church and Baselios Cleemis from the Catholic Church were in attendance. Fr. Shaiju Kurien expressed his satisfaction in India's progress over the past decade and announced his decision to align with the BJP to support Modi's vision for continued development.

Muraleedharan highlighted the support received from heads of various Christian churches, bishops, and priests during the construction of the Ram temple in Ayodhya. He emphasized that this collaboration signifies the Christian Church's support for the BJP, which he believed will influence more members from the community to join the party in near future.
