Fox attack: Youth sustains leg injury in Kannur

Kannur: A youth was reportedly bitten by a fox in Kannur. The injured has been identified as K Rajesh, a native of Peralam, Payyannur. The purported animal attack took place around 7 pm on Sunday. 

As per reports, Rajesh was travelling alone on his bike at the time of the incident. It is learnt that he sustained a wound on his leg and was admitted to a private hospital. According to hospital authorities, the injury was not of serious nature. 

Meanwhile, the fox population in Kerala has dwindled over the years and the sightings of the animal has become alarmingly rare in the state. However, many often mistake jackals for foxes.
