Former advocate general KP Dandapani passes away

Kochi: Former advocate general KP Dandapani passed away here on Tuesday while undergoing treatment for cancer. He was 76. He had served as the state advocate general during the UDF government in 2011.
Dandapani began his practice as an advocate in 1968. He was a senior advocate in the Kerala High Court and also served as the president of advocates association. He was the member of Kerala High Court Legal Service Authority Committee too.
Well versed in civil, criminal, company and constitution laws, Dandapani was appointed judge of Kerala High Court but he resigned after five months.
He is son of VK Padmanabhan and MK Narayani. He is survived by wife advocate Sumathi Dandapani and children Mittu, Millu.
