Fire breaks out at waste treatment plant in Kozhikode

Kozhikode: Fire broke out at the waste treatment plant of the Kozhikode Corporation on Sunday morning. Fire force units from various parts of the district arrived at the spot and doused the fire. 

As per information given by locals, the fire broke out at the waste treatment plant at Bhatt road, around 8: 30 AM on Sunday morning.     

A considerable amount of smoke was seen arising from the garbage on fire; the waste comprise several plastic materials as well. Locals and the police assisted the fire force in their efforts to bring down the fire.
