Father Joseph Puthenpurackal criticizes Kerala CM, MV Govindan over mic controversy

Kottayam: Father Joseph Puthenpurackal harshly criticised Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and CPM state secretary M.V. Govindan for their reactions to incidences of microphone malfunctioning during their speeches.

Earlier, MV Govindan scolded a mic operator for not properly setting up the equipment during his speech. A few months ago, the police oddly registered a case after a microphone malfunctioned during a speech by the Chief Minister.

Puthenpurackal said at a Light and Sound Welfare Association event that "some people are just ignorant and verbally abuse operators if a mic fails." He went on to remark that such demeanours are the result of a lack of politeness.
