Pathanamthitta, Kerala: The family of former Kannur ADM, Naveen Babu, has expressed dissatisfaction with the forensic examination of mobile phones in the investigation related to his death.

Naveen Babu's death by suicide, which happened during his send-off at the Kannur Collectorate a few months ago, created controversy, especially due to the involvement of CPM leader PP Divya, who was the then district panchayat president.

The police have admitted to sending both of Naveen Babu's mobile phones for forensic examination. However, the family has raised concerns that the police have remained silent regarding the forensic examination of the phones of those accused in the case. When the issue was raised in court, the police responded that they had collected detailed information about the calls made by the accused.

One of the main issues highlighted by Naveen's family is the forensic examination of the phones. They argue that the information on the phone of PP Divya, who was arrested on charges of abetting suicide and later released on bail, is crucial. The family insists on a forensic examination to retrieve important details, such as whom Divya called on the day of the incident. They believe that only by sending the phones of Divya, the Kannur district collector, and Prashanth, who has been accused of bribing Naveen Babu, for detailed examination, will the investigation move in the right direction.
