Fake bills: KSRTC prepares for legal action against toll company

Thrissur: The Guruvayoor Infrastructure Private Limited company has been accused of producing fake toll bills, for extorting crores of rupees from KSRTC. Irregularities were spotted in the bills generated at the Paliyekkara toll plaza. The private company had handed over a bill to KSRTC, for the time period before the introduction of FASTag. 

However, several discrepancies were spotted in the bill; charges were even levied on buses which had actually shut down their services a long time ago. KSRTC has reportedly demanded a crime branch investigation into the alleged scam. 

KSRTC is currently running their services using FASTag.
