Factionalism in Samastha spreads to SKSSF as well

Kozhikode: The ‘factionalism’ in Samastha over the organisation’s approach towards the Muslim League now seems to have spread to SKSSF as well. Samastha Kerala Sunni Students Federation is the higher students organisation of Samastha Kerala Jamiyyathul Ulama. When questions were raised on the parallel activities, SKSSF state president Panakkad Hameed Ali Shihab Thangal dismissed the organisation's Malappuram district leaders meet on Wednesday.
The meeting was actually convened to form a welcome committee for felicitating former leaders of SKSSF. But, the Wafi-Wafiyya students organised a meeting simultaneously at their centres. Hameed Ali Shihab Thangal announced his support for the particular meeting as well; rendering authenticity to the parallel gathering. However, differences sprung up in the meeting as supporters and detractors of Hameed Ali Thangal engaged in a war of words and the meeting was dismissed. No decision was taken regarding the proposed welcome committee.
Different discussions are going on in the Samastha and League camps. The verbal duel between the supporters and detractors of Hameed Ali Thangal is intensifying with every day. Meanwhile, several regional ideology meets are being organised for explaining the politics of Samastha. It is known that Samastha leader Bahaudeen Nadwi has submitted a letter to the organisation for cancelling such meetings. The mushawara took up the matter for discussion as well. There are ‘different’ opinions being raised on the letter as well.
