Excise seizes thousands of litres of spurious liquor from production unit at Irinjalakuda

Irinjalakuda: Excise officials seized a production unit that manufactured spurious foreign liquor on a large scale, at Irinjalakuda in Thrissur. Over thousands of bottles of foreign liquor and spurious alcohol were confiscated from here.

Mainly two kinds of liquors were being produced from this unit. Spurious liquor was filled in the foreign liquor bottles and packed from here to sell in the market.

Liquor bottles and hologram stickers were found from the unit. The raid was carried out by a team from the intelligence wing of Excise.
