Drunken youth rams policemen on duty in Kollam

Kollam:  In an unfortunate incident, 2 inebriated riders on a bike crashed into night patrol policemen who were on duty at Chinnakada in Kollam. The police on duty for vehicle inspection were thrown away and sustained injuries. Police have booked a case of non-culpable homicide against the bike riders.

The incident happened on Wednesday midnight. Policemen Sreejith and Prashanth, were injured in the incident. Bike rider Vincent also was injured and is under treatment at the district hospital.

Sreejith who sustained injuries on his head was first taken to the district hospital and later shifted to a private hospital. Prashanth is under treatment at the district hospital. Pillion rider Sanal was arrested by the police at the place of crime itself.
