Drunk on duty: Kerala cops caught drinking in car outside police station; suspended | VIDEO

Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala: Six police officers have been suspended pending investigation after being caught drinking alcohol in a parked car outside Kazhakootam Police Station while on duty.

The suspended officers include Grade ASI Binu and five civil police officers (CPOs), Ratheesh, Manoj, Arun, Akhilraj, and Arun.

The incident happened when the officers, all in civilian clothes, were seen drinking inside a private Scorpio vehicle parked along the road in front of the police station.

The footage of the officers drinking was reportedly captured by a bystander and has since gone viral.

The video shows the CPOs, including the driver of the vehicle, consuming alcohol. After drinking, the group reportedly used the same car to attend a wedding celebration.
