400 driver-cum-conductor vacancies in KSRTC Swift buses; details inside

Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) has announced 400 vacancies for the post of Driver-Cum- Conductor in SWIFT buses on a contract basis. 

Applicants must have passed the 10th standard, possess a Heavy Motor Vehicle Driving Licence and have at least five years of experience driving passenger vehicles with over 30 seats. 

Physical fitness and eye test certificates must be obtained from a government doctor (holding the post of civil surgeon or above) and an ophthalmologist.

Candidates should be proficient in reading and writing Malayalam and English. Age eligibility is 24-55 years. The pay for an eight-hour duty is Rs 715, with an overtime allowance of Rs. 130 per hour. A security deposit of Rs 30,000 is required to be paid.

Meanwhile, KSRTC employees are exempt from the security deposit. Applications can be submitted through www.cmd.kerala.gov.in. The deadline for applications is June 30, 5 p.m.
