Drishya murder accused Vineesh attempts suicide by consuming mosquito repellent

Manjeri: Drishya murder case accused Vineesh attempted suicide by consuming mosquito repellent in sub jail where he was remanded. He was hospitalised immediately. The police informed that his condition is stable.

Vineesh was remanded at the Manjeri sub jail. On Wednesday night, he attempted suicide by consuming mosquito repellent kept inside the cell. The prison authorities found Vineesh vomiting at night and shifted him to Manjeri medical college immediately.

Before murdering Perinthalmanna native Drishya, Vineesh had set afire the shop owned by her father. The police decided to take Vineesh into custody on Thursday and collect evidence. But the accused attempted suicide before this.

The police said that Vineesh showed suicidal tendency since the day he was nabbed. So, special security was arranged for him. However, he managed to have the mosquito repellent inside the cell evading the security guards.
