Retired Malayalam Professor Dr K S Jayasree passes away

Kulanada (Pathanamthitta): Dr K S Jayasree (61) of Jayasadanam in Panangad here passed away. She was former Principal of Thazhava Government College. She had earlier served as a faculty member in the Malayalam Department at Government Brennan College in Thalassery, Government College in Kottayam and Government College at Elanthoor. She had also served as Principal of UIT in Chengannur.

She is survived by her husband Dr S S Sreekumar (Retd Professor, Government College, Mahe), son Dr S Harikrishnan (Assistant Professor, Veterinary University); daughter J Alaka (Researcher, Sanskrit University), daughter-in-law Lakshmi R Nair (Chief Manager, SBI); son-in-law Dr R Syamraj (MSM College, Kayamkulam), brothers M S Nandakumar (Scholars College, Pandalam) and Dr K S Ravikumar (former Pro Vice-Chancellor, Sanskrit University).

The funeral will be held at 3 pm on Friday at her residence in Panangad.
