Kochi: Important documents related to the murder of Abhimanyu, the SFI leader from Maharaja’s college, have gone missing from Ernakulam Sessions Court. On being informed about this, High Court has instructed the district judge to recreate the documents. Hence, the proceedings for the same have begun in the sessions court.

The missing documents include the chargesheet and postmortem certificate among nine other documents. The order to recreate the documents was given by the high court in December. Following this, the sessions court issued notices to the parties concerned , asking them to inform about any disagreement regarding the order issued. The deadline for notifying any sort of disagreement to the move is March 17.

The copies of the lost documents have been sought from the prosecution. Interestingly, the documents went missing when the trial was about to commence. Abhimanyu was murdered around 12:45 AM on July 2, 2018. SDPI-Campus Front activists were accused of committing the murder.
