'Epitome of falsehood': CPM's CV Varghese fires fresh salvo at Mathew Kuzhalnadan

Thodupuzha: CPM Idukki district secretary CV Varghese on Sunday described Muvattupuzha MLA Mathew Kuzhalnadan as the epitome of falsehood,

“It is the duty of the panchayat to collect taxes. The Chinnakanal panchayat belongs to Congress. But unfortunately, it seems like the whole panchayat is sponsored by Kuzhalnadan. The panchayat president is his benami I guess,” says CV Varghese.

It should be noted that reports had come in earlier suggesting that the ‘Kappithan Bungalow’- a resort owned by Congress leader Mathew Kuzhalnad was functioning for the last five months without any proper license. 

Upon enquiry, the officials at the Chinnakanal panchayat responded saying that the license application for the homestay was awaiting approval.
