CPM misused Solar Commission to target Oommen Chandy and for electoral gains: MLA T Siddique

Kozhikode: Congress MLA T Siddique on Saturday alleged that the CPM misused Solar Commission for electoral gains and colluded to personally target former Chief Minister Oommen Chandy and other party leaders. 

Kalpetta MLA demanded a vigilance probe into the financial dealings of Justice Sivarajan, who chaired the solar judicial inquiry commission. 

"CPM has misused the Solar Commission for their electoral gains. Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan should apologise for their action. Back then, a lot of Congress leaders came forward in support of the Oommen Chandy. Along with me, Rajmohan Unnithan also came in defence of Oommen Chandy. However, a prominent Congress leader tried to pursue Rajmohan Unnithan to stand down," he said.

Meanwhile, Siddique also slammed Kerala Government over announcing a Vigilance probe against VD Satheesan for allegedly violating Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Act (FCRA) in a Punarjani housing project.
