‘It’s true that PP Divya’s final remark did lead to ADM’s death,’ says CPM Kannur Secy MV Jayarajan

In a serious development, CPM Kannur district secretary M V Jayarajan has categorically rejected the claims made by former District Panchayat president P P Divya regarding the death of ADM Naveen Babu. Jayarajan stated that the controversial remarks made by Divya in her speech were indeed the cause of the incident.

"It is true that the last comment in Divya’s speech led to Naveen Babu's death, and that is why we said it was wrong," Jayarajan said, emphasising that this viewpoint remains unchanged both then and now. He further clarified that it was because of such controversial remarks that Divya was removed from the position of District Panchayat president.

At the Kannur CPM district conference, delegates expressed both support and opposition to P P Divya. Jayarajan's comments were in response to questions raised in connection with these remarks.
