Ernakulam native succumbs to COVID-19; death toll reaches 41 in state

Kochi: One more COVID-19 death was reported in the state. The deceased has been identified as Ernakulam native Kunjuveeran (67). He was undergoing treatment in Kalamassery Medical College. With this, the total number of COVID deaths in the state reached 41.
Kunjuveeran was taken to the Medical college hospital on July 8. The death was caused by COVID pneumonia. He was also suffering from blood pressure and severe diabetes. He was given different treatments including plasma therapy.
However, blood pressure and severe diabetes made his condition worse. He was subsequently shifted to the ventilator. The news regarding Kunjuveeran’s death was released by the medical bulletin released by Kalamassery Medical College.
