Kozhikode: A district court quashed a petition seeking a ban on the Netflix documentary 'Curry and Cyanide: The Jolly Joseph Case' on the sensational Koodathai serial killings.

The Eranhipalam Special Court dismissed the petition filed by M S Mathew, the second accused in the case, seeking to restrict the streaming of the documentary on Netflix.

Mathew had pointed out that streaming the 2023-released documentary during the period of trial in the case would create a bad public image of him. He also said it would influence the trial as well.

The case pertains to a Koodathai resident, Jolly Joseph, who allegedly orchestrated murders within her family between 2002 and 2016.
