CM to inaugurate KPCC’s Oommen Chandy commemoration programme; Sudhakaran chairman

Thiruvananthapuram: A memorial programme is being organized by KPCC to honour the late former Chief Minister Oommen Chandy, with K. Sudhakaran as its chairman. The event will be inaugurated by Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan.

The programme will be conducted at Ayyankali hall, Thiruvananthapuram on Monday evening. Leaders of various political parties will attend the event. 

Initially, Congress had decided to only invite party leaders to the commemoration ceremony. However, senior leaders of the party were of the opinion that the Chief Minister should also be invited. This led to an invitation being extended to the CM and him graciously accepting to inaugurate his predecessor's memorial event.
