Kochi: The First Information Report (FIR) on the suicide of LLB student Mofiya Parveen affirms the role of CI Sudheer in the case. The report states that CI’s conduct towards the deceased at the police station instigated her to commit suicide.

Both the families of Mofiya and her husband Suhail have been summoned to the Aluva station to hear the complaint of domestic abuse lodged with the district police chief. Amid the reconciliation talks, Mofiya had slapped Suhail in a sudden burst of anger which led the CI to talk harshly to the complainant Mofiya. The FIR points out that Mofiya’s emotional state of not getting justice from the police pushed her to the suicide edge.

The FIR points out serious lapses from the part of CI Sudheer.

CI Sudheer was suspended from service on Friday and a departmental probe has been initiated against him. The Kochi City East Traffic Assistant Commissioner is in charge of the investigation.

Mofiya had named CI Sudheer in her suicide note and wrote that the CI should be punished for insulting her. She had committed suicide just after returning from the police station. Husband Suhail is the prime suspect in the case while his mother Rukhiya and father are the second and third accused respectively.
