Toddler chokes to death after swallowing beetle

Kasaragod: In a freak accident, Anved, a one and half-year-old child choked to death after swallowing a beetle. He is the son of Kasaragod Nullippodi native Sathyendran and Ranjini.

The child breathed his last around 8.30 pm on Saturday. It is reported that he had breathing issues soon after having his dinner. 

It was assumed that the child choked on food. But the beetle was found on his throat during the post-mortem.
