Man charred to death after car catches fire in Kozhikode

Kozhikode: A man was charred to death when a running car caught fire on Bhatt Road. The accident happened at 12 noon on Friday. The deceased has not been identified yet.

As soon as the burning car stopped, the locals opened the door for the driver to get out, but he was unable to get out due to the stuck seat belt.

The car was on fire while running. Seeing the vehicle coming with smoke and fire, the fishermen who were nearby rushed to the spot. Eyewitnesses said that the car exploded immediately with a loud noise.

The mortal remains of the man has been shifted to Kozhikode Medical College Hospital.
