2 prisoners including notorious robber Bunty Chor test Covid +ve in Poojappura Central Prison

Thiruvananthapuram: Notorious robber Bunty Chor has been confirmed with Covid-19. Currently, he is serving life sentence at Poojappura Central Prison here in connection with a robbery case.

The robber was diagnosed with the pandemic in a test conducted on Wednesday. Another prisoner identified as Manikandan also tested positive for Covid.

The prison department had decided to conduct Covid test in prisons considering the Covid surge. As part of this, Covid test was conducted in central prison too.

Presently, all prisoners except Bunty Chor and Manikandan are Covid negative as per test results.
