Four Tamil Nadu school students injured, one critical after jeep plunges into gorge during school trip in Munnar

Idukki (Kerala): A school trip from Tamil Nadu turned tragic in Munnar after a jeep carrying eight students plunged into a gorge.

Four students were injured in the accident, and one of them is reported to be in critical condition. The critically injured child has been shifted to Ernakulam for specialised treatment.

The remaining injured students are receiving medical attention locally.

Rescue teams and police reached the spot quickly, and an investigation into the cause of the accident is under way.
