Alappuzha: The CPI has hardened its stance on the PM SHRI agreement. Four CPI Ministers will not attend the Cabinet meeting scheduled for Wednesday. The Ministers who will stay away are K Rajan, P Prasad, G R Anil and J Chinchu Rani.

The CPI State Council is scheduled to meet on November 4 to discuss further course of action. The decision was announced following a meeting held at the Alappuzha Guest House between Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and CPI state secretary Binoy Viswam.
Binoy Viswam later told the media that the issues raised by the CPI remain unresolved. However, he added that the matter will be discussed within the LDF, with a final decision to follow.
