CK Janu to join UDF

CK Janu, leader of the Janathipathya Rashtriya Sabha, has decided to rejoin the United Democratic Front (UDF). She has written to the front seeking permission to return, and senior leaders K Muraleedharan and Ramesh Chennithala have reportedly endorsed her move.

However, both leaders had earlier advised the UDF leadership to exercise caution before taking a final call. They reminded that Janu’s party had previously been part of the UDF but later quit to align with the BJP, arguing that reinstating a party that once deserted the alliance without valid justification might set a wrong precedent.

Janu is expected to officially re-enter the UDF fold ahead of the upcoming local body elections.
