Boxes full of `currency notes' recovered from river in TVM

Thiruvananthapuram: Two boxes full of `currency notes’ of denomination Rs 500 have been recovered from Vamanapuram river in Mamam region on Tuesday morning. The notes were packed inside cardboard boxes.
A native, Binu, who first spotted the boxes in the river brought it to the bank. More locals flocked to the spot after hearing the news.
On examination, only one side of the notes were printed similar to the Rs 500 currency while the other side remained blank. Though the locals passed the information to Attingal police, officials did not turn up.
It has been inferred that the notes might be printed for use in film shooting. The notes were sealed ‘For shooting only’ over the blank side of it.
