Bomb hurled at Congress office in Kozhikode

Kozhikode: Unidentified miscreants hurled a bomb at the Congress committee office in Ambalathkulangara here in the wee hours on Wednesday. 

A disaster was averted as nobody was present in the office. Window panes of the office building were destroyed in the explosion.

The party office is situated on the third floor of a building in an abandoned area. A library and a shop are also functioning on the other two floors.

According to police, the attackers might have hurled the bomb from the road. Kuttiyadi circle inspector and team reached the spot.

Police informed that a forensic team will examine the crime scene. CCTV visuals will be checked and strict action taken to nab the culprits, said the police.
