Bodies of missing students retrieved from Kallada river

Pathanapuram: The bodies of two students who had been missing since Thursday afternoon from Pattazhi were retrieved from the Kallada river. The deceased have been identified as Adithyan (14), son of Adesh and Saritha and Amal (14), son of Ani and Sreeja.

Both the boys are ninth standard students at the Sri Vidyadhiraja Higher Secondary school, Vendar. The boys had been reported to be missing after attending tution classes.

On Friday morning, the locals found the dead bodies in a catchment area of the Kallada river near the boys’ house. The Pathanapuram police suspect that the boys would have slipped and fallen when taking a bath.
