BJP files complaint against MP John Brittas over alleged hate speech

Thiruvananthapuram: BJP has filed a complaint against Rajya Sabha MP John Brittas for allegedly making statements that trigger religious hatred in the society. As per the complaint filed before Rajya Sabha chairman Jagdeep Dhankar, Brittas made the statement while addressing the state conference of Kerala Nadvathul Mujahideen (KNM) in Kozhikode.
BJP state general secretary PR Sudheer moved the complaint against Brittas on Tuesday. The BJP alleged that the LDF MP made a statement which trigger enmity between religious groups and split the society. The party also demanded strict action against Brittas.
While addressing the Mujahideen conference, Brittas asked the association whether they think they can change the stance of RSS by holding talks with them.
