Adoor: It’s not just a vague statement that determination and confidence can help you conquer every stage. Benjo P. Jose just proved it for everyone. Though he failed in the first three UPSC attempts, he never gave up hope and continued until he succeeded in his fourth attempt.

He achieved his wish by securing the 59th rank in the UPSC. Benjo's mother, Betty Varghese, is a deputy manager at the State Bank of India in Kumbazha, while his father, Jose Philip, works at the Principal Agricultural Office in Pathanamthitta. He has a sibling named Alan P. Jose.

Benjo completed his schooling at Kendriya Vidyalaya. He then graduated with a degree in Mathematics. He has been attempting to crack UPSC since 2020. Although he once reached the interview round in 2022, he could not attain victory. Anthropology was the main topic.
