South Western Railway extends services of three special trains on Bengaluru–Thiruvananthapuram route to ease holiday rush

Bengaluru: South Western Railway has announced the extension of three weekly special trains between Bengaluru and Thiruvananthapuram until December to ease festive-season travel for Malayali passengers.
The SMVT Bengaluru–Thiruvananthapuram North Weekly Express (06555), earlier scheduled to run until October 3, will now operate until December 26. Its return service from Thiruvananthapuram North (06556), originally set to end on September 28, will continue until December 28.
Similarly, the SMVT Bengaluru–Thiruvananthapuram North Weekly Express (06523), originally scheduled to conclude on September 15, has been extended until December 29. Its return service (06524) will now continue until December 30.
The SMVT Bengaluru–Thiruvananthapuram North Weekly Express Special (06547), originally scheduled to operate until September 3, will now run until December 24. Its return service (06548), earlier set to end on September 4, will continue until December 25.
Railway officials confirmed that the trains’ timings, halts, and other arrangements will remain unchanged.
