Harshina case: Three accused granted bail

Kozhikode: Three accused in the controversial case in which an artery forceps mistakenly left inside the abdomen of K K Harshina during her C-section at the Kozhikode Medical College in 2017 were granted bail by the Kunnamangalam First-Class Magistrate here on Tuesday.
The court has granted bail to prime accused Dr C K Rameshan (42), the third and fourth accused -- staff nurses of the Medical College-- M Rahana (33) and K G Manju (43).
Meanwhile, the second accused, Dr Shahana, did not appear before the court. Seeking to know why she was absent, the court has directed to issue summons to Shahana.
Further hearing in the case will held on July 20.
