Attempt to abduct 10-year-old girl in Kattakkada

Thiruvananthapuram: An attempt was made to kidnap a ten-year-old girl while she was asleep in her house in Kattakkada. The culprit targeted the daughter of a couple from Poovachal. The Kattakkada police have begun investigation.

The incident occurred around 3 in the morning. The girl was sleeping with her grandmother and brother when the grandmother sensed an intruder inside the house. Initially, she assumed it was the girl’s father. However, upon hearing the girl's repeated calls, the elderly woman realized that an outsider was present.

She called the girl’s father. Despite the father's attempts to apprehend the culprit, he managed to escape. The suspect was clad in a khaki shirt and black pant. The Kattakkada police were immediately informed of the incident. CCTV footage is currently under examination.
